Declutter

I’m fairly confident that nearly every single human being has more than he or she needs, way more. Way way way more. Like any task, the most difficult part is getting started. Sometimes we can’t get going without a little push, a fresh set of eyes or ears, a different sense of what it all looks like. We all get ‘fridge blindness’… that moment we just can’t see the pickles right in front of us on the third shelf, until our partner or four-year-old spots them.

The first part of our organizing process is decluttering, which more often than not is getting rid of trash, donation items, and storing nostalgic items that can be kept out of sight. For some, this is all that’s needed to get the ball rolling. For others, it’s just the beginning. But as always, it’s up to you.
